Kathleen Zinck, BSc.PT, NSCP, MCPA
Kathleen is a registered Physiotherapist in good standing by the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. She graduated from Dalhousie University with her BSc. PT. and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Kathleen believes Physiotherapy plays an essential role in health promotion and treatment of injury and disabilities. She starts with a thorough assessment to identify structures at fault and will spend time explaining her findings and treatment plan with the patient. She uses hands on approach to her therapy and will devise a personalized exercise program for the patient to follow.
Kathleen has a wide scope of training in the following:
- Diagnosis and treatment with manual therapy for the neck, mandibular and cranio-vertebral dysfunctions, the spine, sacroiliac joints, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet.
- Anatomical Acupuncture, trained by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada
- Athletic injuries and prevention of re-injuries. Kathleen has represented Nova Scotia in 9 National curling events and understands the need for a quick return to the sport of choice.
- Ergonomic assessments.
- Modalities: Low Intensity Laser Therapy with the BioFlex unit that she has at the clinic and she believes is the best modality she has ever used to treat a variety of health issues from acute to chronic inflammation. Kathleen also uses TENS.
