Megan MaCLeod, Speech language pathologist
Megan received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Dalhousie University and is certified by SAC (Speech-Language and Audiology Canada).
Her clinical experience includes serving children and adults with various speech and/or language disorders across both public and private service settings.
At Beech Street Health Centre Megan offers services in assessing and treating Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders in children and adults, as well as related speech (articulation) errors including lisps.
Megan has particular interest and experience in the following areas:
Assessing and treating Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders
Assessing and treating speech and/or language disorders in children aged 0-5 and early elementary school-aged
Providing early intervention services and support to families of children who are Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing
She emphasizes clear communication with regard to understanding assessment results and treatment planning and believes that therapy is most successful when therapy goals are formed collaboratively with the client and, whenever possible, family members are involved.
Megan is a Hanen certified member (It Takes Two to Talk) and has completed Lidcombe Program training. Home visits available.
