Known to the Chinese as the Stone of Heaven, jade has always been a prized gemstone in many parts of the world. It has been used by the African Egyptians and Mayans as a massage and meditation tool for over 7000 years.
The Jade Stone Massage incorporates heated and cooled Jade Stones. Alternating temperatures are used to increase circulation, strengthen the immune system and assist in improving sleep.
Aromatherapy is a branch of herbology. This is the practice of using volatile plant oils, including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being. Aromatherapy has a variety of helpful properties, which include antibiotic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal agents.
Research studies on essential oils show positive effects for a variety of health concerns including infections, pain, anxiety, depression, premenstrual syndrome, nausea, and many others. Some consider aromatherapy as mystical or magical; others, however, others are attempting to validate empirically this ancient therapy as medicinal. Acupuncture is one of the therapies which combines extremely well with aromatherapy.
