When to Book a Speech Assessment for Your Child

kids.jpeg

•       When looking at a developmental speech chart, your child’s speech or intelligibility is delayed beyond what is considered ‘typical’

•       Your child is often frustrated by speech or feels self-conscious about communication

•       Your child’s lisp sounds ‘slushy’

•       Your child’s lisp may be caused by mouth breathing, pacifier use, or thumb-sucking (now or in past) and your child is nearing or beyond school-age entry

•       You feel worried about your child’s speech development
