Heather is the proud owner of Beech Street Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Instead of treating patients directly, Heather dedicates her efforts to mentoring the therapists at the clinic and assisting in treatment plans to ensure the highest standards of care.

With over 20 years of manual therapy experience, Heather has worked extensively with patients of all ages dealing with chronic pain.

Qualifications:

Graduated in 2010 from a 6-year Osteopathy program at Collège d'Études Ostéopathiques.

Earned a degree in Osteopathy from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Past executive board member of the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths.

Serving on the teaching faculty of the Canadian College of Osteopathy since 2011, instructing various courses such as those focused on the lumbar spine, sacrum, facial bones, and the jaw (TMJ).

Over 20 years of public speaking experience at local and national conferences.

Although Heather no longer treats patients directly, her expertise lies in manual therapy techniques aimed at reducing swelling, alleviating pain, identifying strains, and enhancing mobility. She emphasizes a holistic approach in reviewing treatment plans, focusing on understanding the entire body to pinpoint areas of restriction that may cause dysfunction and discomfort. Her earlier research concentrated on bruxism (jaw clenching) and malocclusion (poor bite) in children.
