Haley Flewwelling graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, combined honors in psychology and biology in 2014, and completed her Masters degree in physiotherapy in 2016. She completed her training in osteopathic manual therapy in 2022 through the Canadian College of Osteopathy, where she completed a research project on the effects of osteopathic treatment on labour and delivery outcomes.
Haley’s goal as a practitioner is to incorporate continued learning and skills, along with a team based approach to provide holistic, quality care.
Haley has taken several post-graduate courses in pelvic health (male and female), including internal assessment and treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic/coccyx pain, prolapse, pregnancy-related pain, and sexual dysfunction. She has also taken post-graduate courses in functional dry needling, acupuncture, neuro-proprioceptive taping, and concussion. Haley has a special interest in research involving myofunctional exercise and manual techniques to improve dysfunction involving the jaw and tongue posture. Haley can also provide ultrasound as part of her services.
Haley has a background in sport, as a high-level gymnast, and power cheerleader. Haley is the mother of two beautiful young girls, Ava and Isla. These aspects of her life, along with clinical placements and studies, have focused her interest in holistic care of sports-related injuries and women’s health, among others.
