Ask Team Beech Street: Stand up

Q: How often should I stand up or move around during the work day?

A: Standing up all day is truly no better than sitting. The ideal would be to have a combination of the two. Recent studies on micro-breaks show that getting up and moving around, even if only for a minute, every 30-40 minutes, helps us to focus and reduces muskulosketal discomfort throughout the day.
