So, what exactly is dry needling?

Dry needling is a technique using a stainless steel needle inserted into the skin to effect change in a tissues structure and function. Research has shown that dry needling can be used to:

  • Increase blood flow to the nerve and/or muscle (to improve healing)

  • Optimize muscle function/strength

  • Increase range of motion

  • Decrease muscle spasm

  • Elicit biochemical changes in the tissues
(decrease sensitizing agents and increase natural pain killers)

  • Rebalance the autonomic nervous system

Dry needling can be beneficial to all areas of the body, including the entire spine, jaw, hands, feet, hips, and more!
